About the ReCharge project
ReCharge is an Erasmus+ project aimed at empowering young people to actively participate in the energy transition and promote more sustainable lifestyles in their local communities. The project starts from the need for young people to better understand renewable energy sources, environmental challenges of modern society and their own role in creating more responsible, greener and more energy efficient communities.
Through informal, practical and interactive work methods, ReCharge brings topics such as solar energy, wind energy, hydropower and bioenergy closer to young people. Special emphasis is placed on connecting theoretical understanding with concrete daily habits, such as saving energy, reducing waste, responsible consumption and choosing more sustainable solutions in everyday life.
The project encourages young people to see renewable energy sources not only as a technical or environmental issue, but as an important part of social change. Through workshops, experiments, group work, challenges, discussions and practical activities, participants develop critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, creativity and the ability to transfer the acquired knowledge to their local communities.
Intercultural cooperation is an important part of the project. Young people from different European countries have the opportunity to exchange experiences, compare challenges from their environments and jointly develop ideas that can contribute to the promotion of renewable energy and a sustainable lifestyle. In this way, ReCharge contributes to strengthening European cooperation, solidarity and active participation of young people in issues that are important for the future of their communities.
The project specifically supports the inclusion of youth with reduced opportunities, including youth who face economic, geographic, social, educational or other barriers. Time ReCharge contributes to greater availability of international experiences, development of competences and more equal participation of young people in Erasmus+ activities.
